Fishers of Men!  Sounds strange to think about, but not when you go back to the Moment Jesus called His First Disciples. 
 
Mark 1:16-18 says, “Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.  And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”  And immediately they left their nets and followed him.” 
 
Jesus desired for these 2 disciples to drop what they were doing and follow after Him.  And they did!  They dropped their nets and they followed Jesus.   Jesus used something they could understand–fishing–to help them realize the New Purpose and New Life Jesus had for them.   We all enjoy things in life, and we all want Purpose in Life.  Come, let’s study and learn how to live out the Real Purpose God has for us–to become Fishers of Men–while we walk through this world following Him.  Drop what you need to in order to follow Jesus.  

When you find your Purpose in Jesus, you truly begin to live life!

Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

 
Matthew 28:18-20, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
 
  Romans 6:4, We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order” that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
