Sometimes we look at the Bible and think it’s full of people with Super-Human strength or abilities, and it’s hard for us to think we can relate to them and accomplish what they did. Enter Daniel in the Old Testament! We love the story of the Lion’s Den, or the 3 men in the fiery furnace. But there’s so much more in this Book. Daniel was exiled to a foreign land and lived in a difficult time where there were only a handful who served God. But at the onset, Daniel Resolved that no matter what, he would obey and serve God only. Despite a culture that was contrary to God’s teachings and Word, decrees to bow to statues, decrees not to pray to God, wild sinful environments, and much more, Daniel remained faithful to God through it all.
He had Courage over Compromise!!
Sometimes it seems like there are only a few of us who faithfully serve God and follow His teachings. Let’s learn Lessons from Daniel in how to live in our world today and be faithful to God and not bow to a sinful world by having Courage over Compromise! Daniel was not superhuman, but he did what we should do…draw our strength from God and let God use us.
