Easter Celebration 2023

Matthew 28:5-10, “The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.’ Now I have told you.” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell His disciples.  Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet and worshipped Him.  Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

Maundy Thursday Worship & Communion Service
Thursday, April 6 at 7pm
Jesus gathered with His disciples in the Upper Room on the night before He was crucified to share in the Passover Meal.  It was during that Meal where Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper, or Communion, as a time of remembrance for His Disciples, and all of us, to share in as we remember His Sacrifice on the Cross to save us from our sins.  Luke 22:19-20, “And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

Join us as we spend time around tables with our families and close friends sharing in an hour of Worship & Communion.  This is such a beautiful evening as you are truly able to pour the juice, break the bread, and share in Communion in a special way with those at your table.  Children will spend time in worship with their families.

Palm Sunday Worship – 8:45a & 10:30a
Sunday, April 2nd

John 12:12-19, “The next day, the news that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem swept through the city. A large crowd of Passover visitors took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted, “Praise God!  Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord.  Hail to the King of Israel!”  Jesus found a young donkey and rode on it, fulfilling the prophecy that said:“ Don’t be afraid, people of Jerusalem.  Look, your King is coming, riding on a donkey’s colt.”  His disciples didn’t understand at the time that this was a fulfillment of prophecy. But after Jesus entered into his glory, they remembered what had happened and realized that these things had been written about him.  Many in the crowd had seen Jesus call Lazarus from the tomb, raising him from the dead, and they were telling others about it.  That was the reason so many went out to meet him—because they had heard about this miraculous sign.  Then the Pharisees said to each other, “There’s nothing we can do. Look, everyone has gone after him!”

Join us as we begin the week leading up to Easter praising King Jesus and beginning to prepare our hearts to remember His death and burial, and then to celebrate His Resurrection.
